What is the age limit to go snowmobiling?
To drive the snowmobile, you need a valid international car driver’s license. For sitting at the back of the snowmobile, the age limit is 8 years old.
What clothing is provided?
We provide winter overalls, gloves, warm headwear and a helmet.
What do I need to bring?
Warm outdoor clothing, good hiking shoes and your camera!
If I want to drive to the glacier, can I go there by a regular car?
No, you will need a jeep, a 4×4 jeep and that is only in summer time. In the winter time, you need a Super jeep and qualified driver to get to the base camp. Some of our winter snowmobile tours include a transfer from Reykjavík to Langjökull glacier.
If I don’t have a 4×4 car, can I meet the guide on the way?
Yes, we offer a pick up at Gullfoss. There is a daily departure from Gullfoss at 12:30 during the winter and departures at 10:15 & 12.15 during summer.
Is lunch included on the trip?
No, lunch is not included in any of the day tours, so you should bring a packed lunch or you can buy some at Gullfoss Café. All meals are included in the two-day tour.
When is the Golden Circle & snowmobile available?
All year round.

Remember that the weather in Iceland can change instantly and that you should be prepared for rain and bad weather even though the sun is shining when you leave Reykjavík! Of course, it can also be rainy in Reykjavík and sunny at your destination
