Yes. Due to safety reasons, the age limit is 8 years old, of course, in company with a guardian.

Remember, you must have a valid driving license to operate a snowmobile. However, if you want to ride as a passenger, no license is needed. 

If you’d like, you can also have one of our experienced guides drive for you for a little extra fee.

Don’t worry if you’ve never driven a snowmobile before! Our friendly guides are here to give you all the guidance and instructions you need to get started. 

Just make sure you have a valid driver’s license if you want to drive one on your own.

You will get an overall, balaclava, goggles, and a helmet, all at no extra cost.

You should bring warm clothing as it gets pretty cold on the glacier.

Absolutely! In Iceland, glaciers can be found all year round, which means you can enjoy snowmobiling adventures any time of the year.

There are no weight restrictions. You can ride the snowmobiles as long as you can fit into our winter overalls. The largest size available is 5XL.

If you’re pregnant, it’s best to skip the snowmobiling tours. But don’t worry, you can relax at our cozy base camp and wait for your group to return.

Yes, there are toilets available at the base camp for you to use. However, there are no bathroom breaks during the tour. We recommend using the bathroom before or after the tour.

If you’re traveling alone or with an odd number of people, we’ll just need to add a single-ride supplement.

Absolutely! Feel free to bring your backpack along for the ride. However please note that our snowmobiles don’t have designated storage areas for backpacks, which might make it a bit uncomfortable during the ride.

For your convenience and comfort, we suggest leaving your backpack in the vehicle you used to reach the base camp. This way, you can fully enjoy your snowmobiling experience without any hassle.

Lunch or any other meals are not included on our trips, so feel free to bring your own lunch or grab a bite at Skjól Bistro.

Feel free to snap photos, but remember to stay safe and not take pictures when you’re driving the snowmobile.

Iceland’s weather can be unpredictable and might impact our tours. We recommend packing for various weather conditions. But don’t worry, if we feel the weather might risk the tour’s safety on a particular day, we’ll reschedule it.

No. You need to have a valid driving license to ride a snowmobile.

Our snowmobile tours take place on the epic Langjökull glacier, Iceland’s second-largest glacier.

We provide rides from Reykjavík and Skjol to the Langjökull glacier. During summer, we use 4×4 cars to get there, and in the winter, we switch to Super jeeps for the journey.
